Hemp seed oil is extracted by cold pressing hemp seed and contains the Omega 6:3 ratio of fish oil and is the perfect plant-based alternative for people wanting a more sustainable oil as it doesn’t come with the heavy metals or ecological impact of fish oil.

If on a vegetarian or non-seafood diet it can be hard to get all the necessary Omega fatty acids.

The many health benefits of hemp seed oil come from its high content of three polyunsaturated fatty acids: linoleic acid, alpha-linolenic acid and gamma linolenic acid.

Is it Organic Hemp Seed Oil?

Although not organic, we test all harvested hemp seed for contamination every year, held to strict limits so residues come back undetectable. That’s the standard we hold every batch to, whether or not it carries an organic label.

Why is it not organic?

Hemp is a summer irrigated crop, so when everything else in the landscape is dried off, the hemp paddocks are the lushest, greenest thing around for miles. That makes them a magnet for pests, and without stepping in, they’d strip the crop bare before it gets to harvest.

Our growers are very careful about how they manage this — protecting the bees and ladybugs that also call our hemp fields home is a priority, not an afterthought!

And of course its Australian grown, harvested and processed, which we think means a lot vs overseas hemp oil.
