Calm Dog is made from heated / decarboxylated hemp, twice the potency for anxiety when compared to Old Dog hemp oil.
With Australian Hemp Seed Oil & organic Nimbin Hemp but no turmeric (which is for inflammation), we’ve tailored this hemp oil to work on the nervous system, and then tested it for 6 months with our existing doggy customers.
Dosage / How to Use
May be used for dogs, cats & humans too.
Dog Dosage
Start with 3-4 drops and then increase from there if not seeing much affect after a few days.
For a larger dog such as 40kg you could start with 5-6 drops.
Cat Dosage
For cats 1-5kg start with 1-2 drops.
For larger cats 5kg plus, start on 3 drops and adjust from there after 3-5 days.
Finding The Right Dosage
All people / animals react differently to dosing, there is no one size fits all, so it can take time to find the right amount.
Too much can also be counterproductive, so increasing a bit at a time (up-titrating) to see the effect, then adjust again to find the optimum dose.
Size Options
All our hemp oils come in two sizes:
- 25ml bottle – lasts approx. 2-3 weeks
- 100ml bottle – lasts approx. 2-4 months
Storage
The hemp oils & creams can be stored at room temperature for a year at least, no refrigeration required.
For longer storage you may keep them in the fridge.
6 Months of Doggy Trials
We tested our Pet Range for 6 months in a blind trial with 30 dogs, each was given Sample A, B and C and asked to fill out a feedback form for a min 7 days on each oil.
As dogs don’t have the placebo effect, and their owners did not know what was in each oil, the results have been enlightening… read the Testimonials below.

Organic Hemp
Hemp in this product is heated / decarboxylated to change the terpenes etc to those that are believed to assist with anxiety & stress.
All our hemp is grown organically around Nimbin, Australia, though it is not certified organic (see also our Certified Organic Hemp Oil range, not just for dogs).
Australian Hemp Seed Oil
100% unrefined cold pressed hemp seed oil from South Australia.
Wonderful for doggy hair which comes up shiny with this supplement.
Also has been reported to reduce malting by 70% in some breeds (Jack Russell and Foxy).
Hemp seed oil is extracted by cold pressing hemp seed and contains the Omega 6:3 ratio of fish oil and is the perfect plant-based alternative for people wanting a more sustainable oil as it doesn’t come with the heavy metals or ecological impact of fish oil.

In the past, she would be running around the house, panting and dribbling, and there was nothing I could do to calm her.
After only four weeks of taking the Calm Oil, success. I am so grateful and only wish I had found this product earlier. Thank you so very much.

Well I am so thankful for Calm dog. My 9 year old Male Maltese shihtzu has always been nervous and OCD. This is working better for him than the prescribed vet anxiety meds. Currently on three drops twice daily. Have just purchased a second bottle. His tummy is a little upset, so thinking that I scale dose back to just once daily.

Been using this on my 15 year old Labrador as he ages he’s become a bit more needy and doesn’t quite like being left alone. So for his quality of life I wanted to give him some relief and allow me some time outside of the house. While I haven’t yet trialled him with me away for a full work day yet…it has helped him post his arthritis flare up and allowed him to settle.
I also had mum use it on his anxious dog and she has much improved in her nervous temperament allowing her to be a little easier to train.

I am on my second 25 ml bottle of Calm Dog pet hemp oil. Our new dog cam from a dog shelter and was on three medications. I am confident that using Calm dog has been helpful as I have been slowly weaning her off these meds which are mostly for separation anxiety. She doesn’t seem to have any problems taking the oils and it seems to settle her down. It’s hard to know exactly how it affects her but I haven’t seen any negative results and I’m guessing it is helping her to come off the other meds. I will be trying the Balance next to see if it’s different and to see if it helps our other dog who didn’t seem to respond to Calm dog. He is quite tubby though so his weight may have had something to do with his lack of change.

So far so good x 2….
We have 2 toy poodles, 1 was a rescue that was very anxious and would often stand and stare into thin air whilst shaking constantly, only to be frightened and run away by what we assumed were the shadows of spirits past 😬
Second dog was on a daily dose of Apoquel from the Vet to try and stop her constant air licking, bum and feet chewing and scratching that resulted in rust coloured feet and endless ear infections.
We are one week into the Calm Dog oil with 2 drops twice a day for dog 1 and 3 drops for dog 2 and there is a vet noticeable improvement for both. Haven’t had any staring or shaking let alone being frightened by shadows since starting the treatment and dog 2 is chewing and scratching far less than any amount of Apoquel we could ever give her.
Definitely sticking with these oils for our puppy’s

I have been trying Black Sheep Calm oil on my mini dachshund for the past 3 weeks. Unfortunately it has little or no effect on their behaviour/anxiety. I guess it’s not for my mini dachshund!

I haven’t tried hemp oil before but it was recommended to me by my sister who pointed me in the direction of this website.
I purchased the small bottle of Calm Dog as well as the Nano Water Based Hemp Extract to try.
I found I personally prefer Calm Dog somehow I find it more effective and I like that it has the full plant and hemp seed oil. Both the products I have tried so far l have been very high quality and I feel this is a trust worthy and honest company with good intentions.

We have a new dog thanks to ‘calm dog’… We were lucky enough to be invited to trial this product, and our Red Heeler Lulu (5) has gone from being shut down and anxious, cowering in her safe space (my bed), to now hanging out with the family. Her posture and demeanour have changed, and she now only has rare anxious moments.
