Some of you have asked us about the ABC Four Corners investigation into food fraud, in particular turmeric. When we read that, we got worried too!
So we asked our organic supplier and were very relieved to hear this:
“All of our Certified Organic products, including our turmeric, are sourced through Certified Organic supply chains and comply with the strict requirements of Australian Certified Organic (ACO).”
“Our suppliers are required to maintain Certified Organic certification, and every shipment is accompanied by the appropriate organic documentation to ensure full traceability throughout the supply chain.”
“We undergo regular independent audits to maintain our certification, and conduct random batch testing as part of our quality assurance program.”
After reading the ABC article, we’re happy that our choice to buy organic wherever possible, such as our turmeric, has paid off in renewing our trust in our ingredients.
