Clove Oil for Mould

Clove oil is a natural and effective way to combat mould in the home, thanks to its antifungal properties. According to ABC News, a diluted clove oil solution can kill mould spores rather than just removing surface growth.

To use it, mix a quarter teaspoon of clove oil with a litre of water, spray it lightly on affected areas, and leave it to work for several hours before wiping clean. This method prevents regrowth and is safer than harsh chemical alternatives.

Unlike bleach, which only removes visible mould without killing spores, clove oil addresses the root of the problem.

Regular maintenance is key to preventing mould build-up. Applying a clove oil solution periodically can help stop spores from settling, keeping your home fresh and mould-free naturally.

Other Mould Removal Tips

Excessive moisture is the primary cause of mould, so improving ventilation is also essential. Using a dehumidifier, increasing airflow, and ensuring leaks are fixed will help keep spaces dry, reducing the chances of mould returning.

Questions of our Essential Oils

Can I ingest / eat the essential oils?

Regarding our essential oils, they are all top quality and we can provide a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) on request (they are tested every batch, so theΒ CoAsΒ change regularly).

However no essential oils are considered food-grade by law in Australia, though these are as good quality as you can get.

Technically in Australia you’re not supposed to use any essential oils internally, as they are classed a poison by the TGA.

What you do with a product once it’s in your hands is up to you.

What is the difference between essential & fragrance oils?

Essential oilsΒ are derived fromΒ natural plantΒ material through distillation or cold pressing, and are highly concentrated with the natural aromatic compounds of the plant.

They are known for their therapeutic properties and are commonly used in aromatherapy and other wellness applications.

Fragrance oils, on the other hand, areΒ synthetic scentsΒ that mimic natural materials, and are used primarily for their scent in products like perfumes, candles, and other scented items.

While essential oils offer physical and emotional benefits,Β fragrance oils are solely for scent.

If you’re looking for natural, therapeutic benefits,Β choose essential oils.

If you simply want a pleasant aroma that is cheaper,Β fragrance oils are a good option, though we are discontinuing these…

Can I travel with / take the hemp products overseas?

That’s hard for us to say if it’s ok to use overseas, as we are not lawyers, though some people do travel with their hemp products, and we do send them overseas to NZ, USA, UK too.

It would be up to you if you did take it with you, and check if the country (or any you transit through) has any issues with hemp products.
