Love Black Sheep Farm? Share us with someone you know.
When they shop with your personal code, you earn store credit toward your own orders. It’s our way of saying thanks for passing the word on.
How it works
1. Get your code
Log in to your account. Your personal code is on your dashboard and under My Account → Refer a Friend (for example Gary or Gary2 if that name is already taken).
2. Share it
Pass your code to friends, family, or anyone new to us — by text, email, or however you like.
3. They shop once with your code
At checkout they enter your code in the Referral code field. They only need to do this once. After that, our website remembers them for future orders.
4. You earn store credit
When their order is shipped, credit is added to your balance:
- 20% of their first order
- 5% of every order they place after that — ongoing, not just once
5. Spend your credit
Next time you shop, use Use store credit at checkout. Choose how much to apply (up to your order total). It comes off your bill like a discount.
Good to know
- You can’t use your own code on your own orders — it’s only for friends.
- You need to be logged in to earn and spend store credit.
- Credit can only be spent on our website. It isn’t cash, so it can’t be paid out, withdrawn, or transferred.
- Credit is added after shipping — not while the order is still being packed. You’ll see “Waiting to ship” until it lands.
- Your credit is valid for 3 years. The clock resets each time you earn or spend, so while you’re still shopping with us your credit stays live.
- Wholesale accounts aren’t eligible — this program is for retail customers only.
- Reward amounts follow our settings — if we change the rates, the figures shown in My Account and at checkout are the ones that apply.
- Something look wrong? Contact us and we’ll check your account.
A note about our trial
We’re running Refer a Friend as a six-month trial starting June 2026, ending 1 January 2027.
We’ll review how it’s going — participation, fairness, and costs — and decide whether to keep it running.
If the trial ends, any credit you’ve already earned will still be honoured and can be used under these terms.
Terms & conditions
1. About this program
Refer a Friend is offered by Black Sheep Farm Oils Pty Ltd on our Australian website https://www.blacksheepfarmoils.com.au. By taking part, you agree to these terms. We may update them from time to time; the version on this page is the one that applies.
2. Who can take part
- You must be a registered customer on our website with a valid account.
- The program is for personal, genuine referrals — not for resale, bulk buying, or business use outside normal retail shopping.
- Wholesale customers cannot refer others, enter referral codes, or earn referral credit.
- We may refuse, suspend, or remove participation where we reasonably believe there has been abuse, fraud, duplicate accounts, misleading promotion, or other conduct that breaches these terms.
3. Your referral code
- Each eligible customer receives a unique code (usually based on your first name).
- Codes are for sharing with people you know — not for public coupon sites, paid ads, or spam.
- You cannot refer yourself (including by using your own code or linked accounts).
4. When your friend uses your code
- A friend enters your code once at checkout. We then link their future orders to you where our system can recognise them (account, cookie, or billing details).
- Invalid codes are rejected. Self-referrals are blocked.
- Your friend does not receive a discount from entering your code. The benefit is store credit to you, the referrer.
5. How credit is earned
- Credit is earned when a referred order is completed and shipped in our system.
- First order from that referred customer: 20% of the order total (as store credit).
- Later orders from the same customer: 5% of each order total (as store credit).
- Percentages are calculated on the order total as defined in our system (including shipping and tax where applicable).
- If an order is cancelled, refunded, or reversed, we may adjust or remove the related credit.
- Credit is not guaranteed until the referred order has shipped and been approved in our system.
6. How you spend credit
- You must be logged in to apply store credit at checkout.
- You choose how much to use, up to your available balance and up to your cart subtotal for that order.
- Store credit reduces what you pay on that order. It is not cash and cannot be redeemed for money.
- Store credit is valid for 3 years. Each time you earn or spend credit, the 3 year period resets for your whole balance. Credit left unused for 3 years will lapse. Your current balance is shown in My Account.
- Unused credit stays on your account unless these terms say otherwise.
- We may correct errors, reverse credit applied in error, or adjust balances where an order is refunded or disputed.
7. Trial period
Refer a Friend is currently offered for an initial trial period of six months from launch. We may extend, change, or end the program after review. We’ll give reasonable notice where practical if we make material changes.
8. Changes, pauses, and ending the program
We may change reward rates, mechanics, visibility, or messaging, or pause or end the program. Where practical, we’ll update this page and/or notify customers. Credit already earned and properly recorded at the time of a change will generally remain available to spend, unless forfeited under these terms (for example due to fraud or chargebacks).
9. Errors, fraud, and chargebacks
Where there has been an error, fraud, abuse, or a payment chargeback on a referred order, we may withhold, reverse, or reclaim the related credit. We’ll look into the circumstances before doing so, and we’ll let you know if we adjust your balance. If you think we’ve got it wrong, contact us and we’ll review it.
10. Privacy
Taking part involves personal information (for example your name, email, order history, and referral activity). We handle that in line with our Privacy Policy.
11. General
- These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. Nothing here limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law where they apply.
- Questions or complaints? Contact us — we’re happy to help.
