After a few solid years of planning, building, and tweaking as we went, Chommy and I have finally moved into the hemp house.
It’s been a big project, with plenty of learning along the way, but we’re really happy with how it’s turned out. The house feels solid, breathable, and comfortable—cool in summer, warm in winter—and the materials have given it a natural, grounding feel that’s hard to describe unless you’re in it.
The kitchen’s a favourite spot already. Timber, stone, and exposed hemp walls all working together to make a space that’s functional and feels good to be in.
Thanks to everyone who’s followed our journey.

Mac’s Housewarming
A few weeks ago we gathered at Mac’s place for a wintery housewarming evening.
His new hemp house is officially finished — and it looks beautiful, especially with views out to Mt Wollumbin.
Built with hempcrete, the home stays naturally warm in winter and cool in summer thanks to hemp’s insulating properties.
