Raw Hemp Oil
DISCONTINUED: Please see our Calm & Rested hemp oil which is nearly identical (with 75% certified organic hemp, and 25% organic but not certified).
Specially formulated raw hemp in to keep the heat-sensitive terpenes alive and well, the hemp is not heated (decarboxylated).
We’ve used a new & unique strain of industrial hemp which has more terpenes with very low THC levels (under 0.3% as per NSW DPI guidelines & growing licence).
The hemp in this product is certified Organic & Biodynamic by Southern Cross Certified Australia, grown by a good friend & Nimbin local.

HEMP SEED OIL: We discontinued making this in the Hemp Seed Oil base, however you can still find hemp seed oil based this in our new label hemp oil range.
Ingredients
- Coconut MCT Oil (organic, cold pressed)
- Hemp (certified organic, locally grown in Nimbin)
- Salt
Fractionated Coconut Oil (MCT) bonds well with hemp as an infusion and is known to be beneficial as a carrier oil.
MCT stays liquid on cold days, unlike virgin coconut oil which hardens at 24C.
No turmeric.
Storage
The hemp oils & creams can be stored at room temperature for a year at least, no refrigeration required.
For longer storage you may keep them in the fridge.
Sizes
All the hemp oils come in two different sizes:
- 25ml bottle – lasts approx. 3 weeks
- 100ml bottle – lasts approx. 3 months

I suffer from facial dermatitis, and have tried so many different brands over the years: the most any did was calm my skin for a few hours.
I started using BSFO’s Burdock & Hemp balm recently, and it’s worked well: minimal itching & flaking, no redness.
The Hemp Oil + Turmeric had a similar effect, but I use it less often because of its strong smell.
I started using the new raw organic hemp + coconut oil, and it’s bloody perfect. I’ve only used it for a few days, and my skin is back to normal: zero peeling, itching, redness, and it’s as soft from before the dermatitis started! The only difference between this product and other brands/lotions is the product itself: I put it on once a day and I leave my face alone.
My face doesn’t feel like sandpaper anymore, which is good enough, but I also don’t feel like ants are biting, and no more broken skin. I can now leave the house without worrying about how I look, whether it’s flaking or how greasy my skin looks. This hemp oil is absorbed fast and didn’t make my face shiny.

I have been using Black Sheep oils and balms for quite a while now, but just love this one! They have all helped me with my pain and great for getting good sleep. They don’t take the pain away completely (I have chronic back degeneration and compressed discs etc) but … it is no longer unbearable and I have not taken pain medication now for a long long time. As an added bonus I have the best nights sleep.
